The theoretical UAS examinations are conducted by (SPOA) of the HCAA, based on a well-known multi-choice questionnaire covering the whole curriculum. SPOA of the HCAA for the exam selects 50 questions from the current published UAS questionnaire. In order for a candidate to take the exam, his / her training center must complete and submit to the CA / D2 a certificate of successful completion of the theoretical training so as to allow him / her to take the exam.
Successful students in the theoretical examinations are considered to score at least 75%. In case of failure or abstention, the candidate may take part in the examinations of the next examination period. The results of the theoretical examinations last for two (2) years from the date of their publication.

Practical Flight Examination has the right to apply for a candidate who has:
- Complete the theoretical examinations successfully
- Complete his / her practical training
- Authorization from its Training Center, registered on the individual flight book
- A valid health certificate and English language attestation of at least ICAO English Proficiency Standard levels 4 or higher (for the categories required).
